Michelle is thrilled to join the ranks of the fantastic team at PPA. Since her first time playing basketball at age 12, Michelle aspired to become a coach at the highest level she could reach. To no one's surprise, her coaching career began 4 years later at age 16 where she oversaw McLean Youth Basketball. Whether playing or coaching, basketball has always been her biggest passion. Michelle played all 4 years of High School and was named Team Captain at McLean. After graduation she became more heavily involved in coaching. She spent time as the JV Head Coach at her alma mater and also coached AAU basketball in the off season. Michelle is excited for the opportunity to share her love for the sport with the entire PPA family!

Kenny is pumped to join the PPA team as a coach and mentor to some of the best young players in the area. Kenny spent most of his school years overseas so he had the opportunity to play basketball on different courts across Asia and Europe. Currently, Kenny is an Account Manager supporting the DoD by day, and an active player on two men's leagues in DC by night. Kenny is excited to help his players grow in skill and confidence while developing an even greater passion for the sport.
LaTavia began playing basketball at the age of 7. She played competitively throughout grade school and became a 3 year varsity player at her high school in North Carolina. Throughout undergrad LaTavia played in various leagues in Hampton and spent her summers coaching youth basketball at her hometown YMCA.
I've been playing basketball in grade school and through AAU circuits since 6 until my sophomore year of high school. I unfortunately suffered a knee injury that did not recover properly, limiting my ability to continue playing basketball at a competitive level. I since then started coaching at the age of 18. I am USA Basketball certified and have worked individually with youth basketball players for years.
Sabriena is a senior at Bowie State University, currently studying Child and Adolescents Studies in hopes of becoming a Social Worker. She played basketball at Bowie High School for four years and then went on to play and Prince George’s C.C. As a late bloomer to the game, she can assure you she knows what it takes to compete on a center level. She loves children and sports and hoping to have a great experience with PPA.
