Premier Soccer Teams Set New Record by Winning 3 State Championships, and Rise in National Rankings!
We are thrilled to announce that PPA Premier Soccer teams have set a new club record by winning three state championships in a single year! Congratulations to the PPA 2010 Boys Green Team, 2010 Girls Green Team, and 2009 Girls Green Team for their remarkable achievement. This is the first time in our history that we’ve clinched three state cups in one year, a milestone that firmly places PPA Premier Soccer on the national stage.
All three teams will now advance to compete in Regionals with aspirations of winning a national championship. This achievement not only highlights our teams' dedication and hard work but also elevates our club’s standing on a national level. The 2010 Boys Green Team's victory propelled them to the #6 spot in the national rankings, a significant leap that showcases their exceptional talent and teamwork.
Annie Worden, Managing Director of the Premier Soccer Program, shared her excitement:
“I am incredibly proud of our program and these fantastic accomplishments. Winning three state championships in one year is a testament to our players’ ability to compete at the highest levels and find success. This is crucial for our club as it enhances our position to achieve one of our key goals: getting our players into top college programs. Our success on the field opens doors for our athletes, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents on a national stage and be recruited by leading college soccer programs.”
Nik Kapus, Director of Coaching, emphasized the uniqueness of our club’s approach:
“My focus has always been on developing players from the ground up. I've always thought the key ingredients for our clubs success would need to be great coaching and maintaining a great club culture. I do believe we’re doing something unique here at PPA by nurturing our players right from the start with our unique Development Program, and then elevating local players to the highest levels; and the 2010 Boys Green Team is a prime example of this. They came together at U8 and have remained largely unchanged, which is rare in high-level soccer where teams are often patched together from various players. Our commitment to grassroots development is truly paying off, and I couldn't be prouder of what we've achieved.”
