This March, PPA is hosting a Spring Classic pre-season tournament. The sister tournament to the Winter Classic, the Spring classic is designed to provide a fun, competitive tournament experience for a wide range of skill levels and ages. The PPA Spring Classic is an outdoor tournament for boys and girls players over the course of one weekend in March. All teams will be parent coached, guaranteed three games, and, based on standings, be entered into the round-robin playoffs. Soccer teams will compete in a 4v4 game format and basketball teams will compete in a 3v3 game format.

Soccer SPRING CLASSIC

 

Tournament Dates: March 20-21, 2021

Divisions: K - 8th Graders

Tournament Format: The tournament will take place over one day of the March 20 and 21 weekend and include a minimum of 3 guaranteed games for each team. K-3rd grade teams will play on Saturday, March 20. 4th grade and up teams will play on Sunday, March 21. Each division will have an allotted time block on their assigned day to play all tournament games.

Game Format: All teams will play 4v4 outside to small goals. PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Players will be asked to wear masks during games.  

Team Format: Each team must have a parent coach. Rosters Max: 8 players. 

Tournament Perks:  PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Before the season, parent coaches will meet virtually with PPA Soccer Technical Directors to go review tournament format, game rules, and coaching best practices. Winning teams will receive championship shirts and medals.

Join as a Team: Registration will be paid per team in the PPA portal. All teams will require a parent coach who registers the team and pays the team fee. Once the team is registered, players will be sent an email to confirm their place on the team. Registration will open Wednesday, January 20 and close on Friday, March 5.

Hoops SPRING CLASSIC

 

Tournament Dates: March 13 and 14, 2021
 

Divisions: 2nd  - 6th Graders

Tournament Format: The tournament will take place over one day of the March 13 and 14 weekend and include a minimum of 3 guaranteed games for each team. K-3rd grade teams will play on Saturday, March 13. 4th grade and up teams will play on Sunday, March 14. Each division will have an allotted time block on their assigned day to play all tournament games.

Game Format: Games will played 3v3 outside on half court. PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Players will be asked to wear masks during games.  

Team Format:  Each team must have a parent coach. Roster Max: 6 players.

Tournament Perks:  PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Before the season, parent coaches will meet virtually with PPA Hoops Technical Directors to go review tournament format, game rules, and coaching best practices. Winning teams will receive championship shirts and medals.
