The Hoops Summer Classic is a 3 on 3 tournament on August 27th for boys and girls grades 3 to 8. All teams that enter must provide a volunteer parent coach. The tournament will consist of a minimum of three games in a pool play style competition. Games will be 30 minutes long.
The goal of PPA’s Summer Classic is to provide a fun, competitive hoops tournament experience for a wide range of skill levels and ages. For more information or to register, visit:
Hoops SUMMER CLASSIC
Tournament Dates: August 27, 2022
Divisions: 3rd - 8th Graders
Tournament Format: The tournament will take place over one day, Saturday, August 27th and include a minimum of 3 guaranteed games for each team. Game length will be 20 min, no half time. Each division will have an allotted time block on their assigned day to play all tournament games.
Game Format: Games will played 3v3 outside on half court. PPA will provide a game manager for each game.
Team Format: Each team must have a parent coach. Roster Max: 6 players.
Tournament Perks: PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Before the season, parent coaches will meet virtually with PPA Hoops Technical Directors to go review tournament format, game rules, and coaching best practices. Winning teams will receive championship shirts and medals.
Join as a Team: Registration will be paid per team in the PPA portal. All teams will require a parent coach who registers the team and pays the team fee. Once the team is registered, players will be sent an email to confirm their place on the team. Registration will close August 23rd, 2022.
