Tournament Options: 4v4 Soccer, 3v3 Hoops

Registration Dates: 10/26 - 11/9

For the first time ever, PPA will host a Winter Classic Tournament. The goal of PPA’s Winter Classic Tournament is to provide a fun, competitive tournament experience for a wide range of skill levels and ages. The PPA Winter Classic is an outdoor tournament for boys and girls players over the course of four weekends. All teams will be parent coached, guaranteed eight games, and entered into the round-robin tournament which will take place on the last weekend of the series. Soccer teams will compete in a 4v4 game format, and basketball teams will compete in a 3v3 game format.

4 v 4 Soccer Tournament

 

The PPA Winter Classic Soccer tournament has reached capacity. If you are interested in being put on a waitlist, please contact Development Soccer Director, Steven Rogers.

Tournament Dates: 11/15, 11/22, 12/6. Championship weekend: 12/13. No games the weekend of November 28.

Divisions: K - 8th Graders

Tournament Format: The tournament will span over 4 weekends and include a minimum of 8 games for each team. The first 3 weekends teams will compete in two 20 minute games per weekend. The 4th weekend will be the round-robin playoff and championship weekend.

Game Format: Games will play 4 v 4 outside to small goals. PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Players will be asked to wear masks during games.  

Team Format: Each team must have a parent coach. Rosters Max: 8 players. 

Tournament Perks:  PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Before the season, parent coaches will meet virtually with PPA Soccer Technical Directors to go review tournament format, game rules, and coaching best practices. Winning teams will receive championship shirts and medals.  

Join as a Team: Registration will be paid per team in the PPA portal. All teams will require a parent coach who registers the team and pays the team fee. Once the team is registered, players will be sent an email to confirm their place on the team. Registration will open Monday, October 26 and close on Monday, November 9.

 

Join as a Free Agent: If you have a player that has been invited to join a team, or you have a player that you would like to be placed onto a team by PPA Directors, click "Join as a Free Agent". Free agents will be placed on teams based on their age, gender, skill level, and team availability.  

3 v 3 Hoops Tournament

Tournament Dates: 11/14, 11/21, 12/5. Championship weekend: 12/12. No games the weekend of November 28.

Divisions: 2nd  - 6th Graders

Tournament Format: The tournament will span over 4 weekends and include a minimum of 8 games for each team. The first 3 weekends teams will compete in two 20 minute games per weekend. The 4th weekend will be the round-robin playoff and championship weekend.  

Game Format: Games will played 3 v 3 outside on half court. PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Players will be asked to wear masks during games.  

Team Format:  Each team must have a parent coach. Roster Max: 6 players.

Tournament Perks:  PPA will provide a game manager for each game. Before the season, parent coaches will meet virtually with PPA Hoops Technical Directors to go review tournament format, game rules, and coaching best practices. Winning teams will receive championship shirts and medals.
