To the Player Progression Academy website. We are the leading youth sports club in the DC and Montgomery County, MD region with over 5,000 players, ages 3 - 18, who participate each year.

Our Mission is to develop players between the lines and outside them.

PPA's Core Programs

The PPA Development League is the leading youth soccer and basketball league in the DC and Montgomery County area, with over 700 teams competing each year. Open to all levels — from parent-formed school and neighborhood teams to all-star players and outside club teams — the league offers an inclusive, flexible platform where everyone can play and grow. At its core is a unique divisional system that groups teams not just by age, but by skill level and location, creating balanced matchups, minimizing travel, and reducing blowouts. Teams can move up divisions as they improve, making it a true development pathway focused on competitive games and a great experience for players and families.

Ages: 5-13

Premier Teams

The PPA Premier Program is the top-tier travel soccer and basketball program in the DC and Montgomery County area, built for players who aspire to reach the highest levels of the game. Entry is by tryout, and players are placed on competitive club teams based on age and ability. Teams train year-round with professional coaches and compete in leagues and tournaments that match their level — from local competition to elite regional and national circuits. With a clear development pathway and a track record of helping players advance to top high school teams, college programs, and even the professional ranks, the Premier Program is designed for athletes who are serious about their growth and ready to put in the work.

Ages: 7-18

PPA Camps offer the highest-quality youth sports camp experience in the DC and Chevy Chase area, with both summer and holiday options designed for players of all levels. Our summer camps run all season long at top-tier facilities like Georgetown Day School and the Field School, and are led entirely by our professional coaching staff — not seasonal hires — setting us apart from the typical sports camp. We offer full-day camps like our Washington Spirit Camp and NCAA-Themed Camp, perfect for players who want to spend the day playing and learning the game. For more advanced athletes, our evening camps focus on technical development and competitive play. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to sharpen their edge, PPA Camps provide a fun, structured, and high-level training environment.

Ages: 5-18

PPA Classes offer a flexible way for families to create customized training experiences with our professional coaching staff. Whether you’re looking for 1-on-1 sessions, small group training with friends, or a larger class with multiple pro coaches, we’ll help design a program that fits your schedule and goals. Classes can focus on soccer, basketball, or multi-sport skill-building, and are available year-round at convenient locations across the DC and Montgomery County area. It’s the perfect option for players who want extra reps, personalized attention, or a more tailored environment to grow their skills.

Ages: 5 - 18

The PPA Tots Program is designed to introduce children ages 3–5 to sports in a fun, age-appropriate way. At the heart of the program is KiddoBall — our own custom-designed soccer game for little ones, like tee-ball but for soccer — offered free at select parks throughout the year. These sessions are a great first step into the world of sports. For families looking for a more personalized experience, we also offer private classes where parents can form their own group of friends and we'll provide a dedicated coach and schedule that fits your needs. Classes are available in soccer, basketball, lacrosse, or multi-sport, all led by our experienced Tots coaching staff who specialize in making sports fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate for young kids.
