  • Hoops Summer Classic

    The Hoops Summer Classic is a 3 on 3 tournament on August 27th for boy's and girl's grades 3 to 8. All teams that enter must provide a volunteer parent coach. The tournament will consist of a minimum of three games in a pool play style competition. The goal of PPA’s Summer Classic is to provide a fun, competitive hoops tournament experience for a wide range of skill levels and ages.

  • PPA Premier Performance Clinic

    Hi PPA Premier Soccer and Hoops Parents, This August, PPA will host a Premier Soccer Performance Clinic for our Middle School and High School Players. The Performance clinic will be held on Saturday mornings for one hour training sessions focused on movement, agility, speed and body control. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE! Cost Per Clinic: $35 Clinic Dates: 20th and 27th Middle School Boys: 9:00 - 10:00 AM Middle School Girls: 10:00 - 11:00 AM High School Co-ed: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Coach Zach's Bio: Zack grew his passion for sports performance and rehabilitation as a former high school and collegiate basketball player. He is dedicated to helping everyone compete at their fullest potential and moreover enjoy what they love to do most. Zack’s knowledge base is truly extensive and is always up to date with the most current research in order to deliver the most effective evidenced based practices. He has graduated with his Doctorates in Physical Therapy and as well as a Master’s of Science in Exercise Physiology. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has worked with a variety of athletes at the professional level as well as amateur and recreational athletes. Zack specializes in rehabilitation, manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation, cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, in speed, power, strength, injury prevention, and functional training. Just recently Zack has aided in the preparatory process for over 55 potential NFL draft picks for the 2022 NFL Draft. He has also been able to work with many other sports and athletes at the professional level including but not limited to the NBA, NFL, CFL, MLB, and MLS. Some notable clients include Garrett Wilson (NFL), Matt Waletzko (NFL), Leo Chenal (NFL), Braxton Jones (NFL), Curtis Weaver (NFL), Elijah Moore (NFL), Gerald Henderson (NBA), Adam Jahn (MLS), Brendan Davies (MLB), and many more. Zack is dedicated to utilizing his expertise and knowledge base to help his clients compete, perform, and live at their fullest potential.

  • 2010 Green Boys Regionals Recap

    2010 Green boys participated in their very first Regionals Championship. The boys have a great account of themselves with a record of 1-1-1. It must be said that the scores not always reflected the quality of the performances. Although the team did not make it to the Final, the boys showed that the PPA 2010 Green team will be the force to be reckoned with come next year's Regionals!

  • Premier 4th Green Girls Season Recap

    The PPA Premier 4th Green Girls won the championship at the Fairfax Stars Summer Spectacular tournament on Sunday, June 5th. Premier 4th Green Girls defeated Elevate Elite in the championship by a score of 33-26. Overall, 4th Green Girls finished their Spring 2022 season with a solid 8-5 record, competing in the Darnestown Cougars league, as well as multiple AAU tournaments.

  • Premier 6th Green Boys Season Recap

    PPA Premier 6th Green Boys won the Spring 2022 Force One League championship! 6th Green won the championship game 43-34 against GTown, on Saturday, June 11th 2022. The 6th Green Boys, led by Coach Damario Clarke, finished with an astounding 15-2 record overall for their Spring '22 campaign.

  • 7th Green Season Highlights

    PPA Premier 7th Green Boys took home the championship at FOUR different tournaments in Spring 2022. Bolstered by a well-rounded team roster, 7th Green boasted an incredible 19-3 record this Spring season, taking home first place at Zero Gravity Baltimore, George Mason Capital Classic, BigTimeHoops Spring Invitational, and the Fairfax Stars Summer Spectacular.

  • We are going to Regionals!

    Our 2009 and 2010 Premier Soccer Green boys will be traveling to West Virginia this week to compete in the 2022 USYS Eastern Regional Championship. The 2009 boys are looking to make another run to the regional finals and hope to come home with the trophy after winning Maryland’s State Cup earlier this month. The 2009 boys will be facing teams from Massachusetts and New York. The 2010 boys are coming off a great state cup run and have been invited to attend Regionals as the Maryland Wild Card. The 2010 boys will be facing off against teams from Virginia, New York, and Maine this weekend. The boys are excited about the opportunity to play against the top competition in the region are hoping to top the group and advance through to the elimination rounds!     PPA Development Soccer and Hoops Program Recaps! This has been an exciting spring season. We are so grateful for our amazing parents for all of the support. We hope everyone enjoyed our special themed weekends. Below are some highlights of the season and also information regarding PPA summer programming and details about fall registration. Mother's Day Celebration! PPA Spirit Week! Summer Programming We have Soccer and Hoops camps running all throughout the Summer months! PPA’s Summer Camp programs are designed to foster sport specific skill development, team building traits and athletic intensity for both soccer and basketball players in a safe environment. You can find them by clicking on the button below! We have a Soccer Camp running the week of June 27 at Sidwell Friends Lower School. We hope to see you there! Fall 2022 Development Programming The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is excited to announce the opening of its Fall 2022 Development Leagues. Due to high expected demand, registration will open over two phases. Priority registration will open June 20th. Returning teams who register during this phase will be guaranteed a spot in the league. General registration will open June 27th. Registrations during this period will be honored on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will close August 19th, or sooner if capacity for the leagues fill. For the last three seasons, team registration has closed early because of high enrollment, so PPA advises players and teams to register early.

    PPA is thrilled to highlight our 2009 Green Boys team who defended their 2021 State Cup title with a 2-1 win in the 2022 State Cup championship this past weekend. The boys are looking to make another run to the regional finals at the end of this month in West Virginia and hope to come home with the trophy!

  • Fall 2017 PPA Progression Cup Recap

    This past weekend we ended our 2017 Fall Soccer Season with our end of the season tournaments, aka the PPA Progression Cup, for each of our development leagues. In just 2 days we had 5 tournaments, a total of 62 teams competing, 18 hours of games, and countless hot chocolate cups drank. It was a great weekend filled with so many great games! Thank you to all of the teams that participated and to all the parents and coaches that made this weekend possible. COACHES CUP THIS SATURDAY Don't forget about our first ever 2017 PPA Coaches Cup this Saturday (11/18) at the Washington Episcopal Turf Field from 11:30AM-1:30PM. Nearly all PPA coaches and directors will be participating in the tournament to vie for the inaugural PPA Cup. All proceeds will be donated to PPA's non-profit partner, Open Door Sports, and to the PPA Scholarship Fund. We hope to see everyone there!
