PARENT FAQ
What is Kiddoball?
Kiddoball is PPA’s introductory soccer program designed specifically for preschoolers and early kindergartners (ages 3–5). It's a fun, play-based environment where kids learn soccer fundamentals through games, imaginative play, and positive coaching.
What age group is Kiddoball for?
Kiddoball is open to children born in 2020, 2021, and 2022, typically ages 3 to 5 years old.
When and where are the sessions held?
Sessions are held once a week (usually weekends) at indoor or outdoor facilities based on the season. Location options are listed during registration based on your neighborhood.
What does a typical Kiddoball session look like?
Each session is 45–60 minutes and includes:
-
A warm-up activity
-
Skill-based games (dribbling, kicking, running)
-
Small-sided scrimmages
All activities are age-appropriate and designed to keep young kids engaged and moving.
Are there games or just practice?
Kiddoball blends both. We use game-like play scenarios and short scrimmages within each session to reinforce learning while still keeping it fun and low-pressure.
Do I need to volunteer?
Each Kiddoball group is led by a professional PPA coach who runs the session and teaches the soccer activities. In addition, we organize a few parent volunteers for each group to help support the session—usually one parent for every 5–6 kids. It’s a fun way for parents to be involved, stay close to the action, and share the experience with their child during this early stage of sports. No coaching experience is required—we’ll guide you on how to help!
What should my child wear and bring?
Your child should wear:
-
Athletic shoes (cleats are optional for outdoors, sneakers for indoor)
-
Kiddoball jersey (provided)
-
Comfortable athletic clothing
Please also bring a water bottle.
Can my child be placed with a friend?
Yes! During registration, there’s a section to request a buddy placement. We do our best to accommodate.
What if it’s our first time playing soccer?
Perfect! Kiddoball is designed for beginners. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to play and have fun.
What’s the next step after Kiddoball?
After Kiddoball, most players transition into our Kindergarten Development League, which includes weekly practices and structured 4v4 games.
What’s the refund policy?
Refunds are available up to two weeks before the season starts. After that, we offer credit for future programming in the event of a withdrawal.
