PPA is extremely proud to announce André Akpan as our Director of the Boys
Premier Program, and we are excited about what his addition means for our players
and our community. Through the Premier Program we strive to develop highly
competitive players and teams. His leadership and experience will only aid us in that
mission.
André has always found success on the soccer field, even from a young age.
His Dallas Texans won back-to- back-to- back USYSA National Championships. That
success followed him to the college level and beyond. After being an Ivy League
Rookie of the Year and a 3-time All-American Honoree for Harvard University, he
was drafted into the MLS by the Colorado Rapids.
Since his MLS days André has been focusing on community development
while working for the US Soccer Foundation. The PPA Community looks forward to
his continued success on the soccer field and in promoting #PPALife.
