Say Hello to PPA's Three New Members of our Team

The PPA team is growing as we approach the Fall 2017 season!

We are excited to introduce our three newest members of the PPA team; David Sanford, Director of PPA Boys Premier Soccer Program, Rose Sommovigo, Director of Human Resources, and Joe Iraola, Administration & Communications Associate.

We are very fortunate to have them and we are excited for how they will help us this year. Each of our team members have provided a quick note about their background, dedication to sport and excitement for the upcoming Fall season. Take a look!

David Sanford, Director of PPA Boys Premier Soccer Program

Dear Parents,

As we embark on the 2017/2018 season, I am delighted and honored to build upon the PPA’s strong foundation as your new Boys Premier Soccer Program Director. With this exclusive program, it is my intention to elevate the playing environment and improve the product we are offering for your child’s development on and off the field.

My goal is to support your child in unlocking their full potential in soccer and reach their individual goals. At PPA we will provide the top program in the area.

I’m currently working hard to get up to speed on all things PPA. I will gain more context in the coming months as I meet you, the players, and coaches. I will implement my ideas this year with an aim to ensure your child reaps the full benefit of sport, not only developing them as a athlete but as a person, too. I will share in detail our training methods, individual development plans, and an annual plan for your calendar year within PPA. My goal is to have you feel secure that you have found the top destination in the area for your child’s development.

Kind regards,

Dave

Rose Sommovigo, Director of Human Resources

Hello Parents,

I am coming on board to lead the Human Resource efforts for PPA as well as coach full time. I grew up in the local DMV area and won 3 district championships and one state championship at McLean High School. I then continued my soccer career through college as a 4-year member of the James Madison University Women’s Club Soccer team. In my senior year I was elected to lead the team as both President and Coach of the club, leading them to the National Championship game. I draw from my experience to instill a “never give up” mentality in my players and am excited to share the PPA Life values across the academy.

Sincerely,

Rose

Joe Iraola, Administration & Communications Associate

Hello Parents,

I am PPA’s newest full time employee and coach starting this fall with a focus on supporting the PPA communication department and development of soccer programs. I am very excited to be joining the PPA team. I have played soccer my whole life and I am grateful for this opportunity to switch roles as a coach. I graduated from American University this past May where I played soccer for all four years. I started coaching for PPA this past spring and had a great experience. I am looking forward to teaching everything that I have learned over the years.

Best regards,

Joe
