On December 2nd, D.C. United and PPA partnered together to host the first ever Holiday Cup 3 v 3 tournament. The event was offered for players ages U9-U15. Out of the 43 teams there PPA brought 12, which was the most out of any other club. This was the first of many events that PPA and D.C. United are planning on doing together.
Top teams from around the area including some of D.C. United's academy teams competed at the tournament. The 3 v 3 format gave players the opportunity to play in a different atmosphere. Players have to play quicker and smarter as one error could lead to a goal for the other team. Along with all of the fun games at the tournament D.C. United also had fun mini games, raffles, Firehouse Subs, and also an appearance by their team mascot, Talon.
