We’re excited to officially announce the Fall 2025 Development Soccer League and Basketball League. Registration is now Open!

🍂 Fall 2025 Season Details

• Season Runs: September 15 – November 11

• Registration Opens: June 10

• Priority Registration for New Teams: Through June 24

• Grades: Kindergarten – 8th Grade

• League Format - Teams placed in divisions based on age and competitive level

  
  

🏆 Overview - What is the PPA Development Program?

The PPA “Dev” Leagues are the leading youth sports leagues in the DC and Montgomery County area, with over 700 teams from more than 200 schools participating each year. What makes us different is our diversity of teams and our commitment to real development — we bring together parent-formed teams, school-based teams (public and private), club teams, and all-star squads into one inclusive league. With our unique division-based structure, teams are grouped by both age and skill level to ensure balanced competition, meaningful growth, and a true developmental pathway for every player.

🔥 What’s New This Fall

Our leagues are growing — and that’s a big win for every team. With over 250 teams expected to play this fall, we’re taking the next step in building the best youth sports league in the DC/MD region.

Starting this season, we’ll begin organizing divisions not just by age group, but also by competitive level — so teams looking for more challenge can play against similarly competitive opponents. Plus, we’re introducing a new promotion system: top-performing teams will have the chance to move up a division next season!

All of this means better matchups, fewer blow outs, more motivation, and a stronger experience for every player.

📝 How to Register

Form a Team: Parents can create their own teams and invite friends to join. You'll pick the team name, jersey color, and practice preferences. We'll aim to match your team into a division based on age and competitive level. Parent organizers receive a $100 rebate.

Join as a Free Agent: No team? No problem. Register solo, and we’ll place your player on a team with other kids from nearby schools and similar level.

Enter Club Teams: Club teams can apply to join our league and place their teams into division that fit each team's level. Connect with our League Commissioners to get started: HoopsAdmin@ppateam.com, DevSoccerAdmin@ppateam.com

📅 Reminder to act quickly - Some leagues will fill before the deadline, so we recommend anyone who is considering joining to register early. When leagues fill we will open a waitlist.
